How to Use
GREAT STUFF™ PRO Gaps & Cracks
- Plan ahead where you intend to use GREAT STUFF PRO and be sure the area is well ventilated.
- Keep in mind that GREAT STUFF PRO is flammable during dispensing.
Please shut off all gas pilot lights, electrical igniters and other sources of ignition (e.g. candles, space heaters, halogen lamps) before and during use.
DO NOT smoke or use matches/lighters while dispensing foam.
- Prevent eye and skin contact. Wear protective gloves and eyewear.
- Protect the work area with drop cloths or newspaper.
- Screw trigger and gun or straw assembly onto valve. DO NOT PUSH STRAW OR GUN ONTO VALVE.
- IMMEDIATELY after attaching the gun/straw applicator, turn can upside down and dispense a small amount of foam.
- Familiarize yourself with foam by practicing on newspapers before filling voids.
- Dispense foam by slowly pulling down on trigger.
- When filling larger voids, apply foam in layers. Sprinkle or mist a small amount of water between layers to speed curing of foam.
Another alternative is to make the void smaller by stuffing with construction material such as wood, drywall, brick, etc. Then apply foam.

- Plan ahead where you intend to use GREAT STUFF PRO and be sure the area is well-ventilated.

Gun Applicator Tips
- Shake GREAT STUFF PRO can vigorously for one minute before attaching it to the foam applicator gun.
- Invert can and screw onto adapter of the foam applicator gun.
- Adjust flow control screw on back of foam applicator gun to an open position.
Press trigger to fill the foam applicator tool with foam while dispensing into an appropriate waste receptacle.
- Keep can inverted during use.
- Open or close flow control screw on foam applicator gun to adjust bead size.
- Clean gun periodically with GREAT STUFF PRO Gun Cleaner (approximately every 12 to 24 cans used).
Rub end of gun on soft wood to free it from foam. Never use sharp object on end of gun.
- When not in use, always leave a can of foam attached to the gun, being sure that the flow control screw at the back of the gun is completely closed.
- When changing cans of foam, use GREAT STUFF PRO Gun Cleaner to remove any residual foam from the adaptor of the gun.
Secure the red plastic attachment to the top of the GREAT STUFF PRO Gun Cleaner to use as a spray to remove uncured foam.
- Never leave a foam applicator tool without a can of foam attached unless the gun has been thoroughly cleaned with GREAT STUFF PRO Gun Cleaner.
- Never leave a can of GREAT STUFF CLEANER attached to a foam applicator gun over time. Always store the gun with a can of foam attached.

*Cured foam will discolor if exposed to ultraviolet light. Paint or coat foam for best results in outdoor applications.
