Total Protection For You And Your Property
Fire-rated walls and floors will provide only partial protection if fire strikes.
Flames and toxic smoke and fumes will follow any open pathway - through penetrations around piping, cables, conduits, and joints - to destroy property and cause death.
Permanent Seal
A ready-to-use firestop sealant - will close those pathways efficiently, quickly, and inexpensively.
FLAME STOP V™ holds back flames and fumes and keeps that all-important ingredient - fresh air - from fueling a fire.
And it expands upon heating more than twice its original volume so it can be used around PVC pipe and electrical wiring!
It will not harden and crack. In most cases it will remain pliable so that the fire stop system does not have to be destroyed when a change-out is required.
An Added Safety Margin
It's well-known that smoke and fumes cause more personal injury than flames during a fire.
Toxic fumes can pour through any opening to penetrate an entire building, injuring unsuspecting people.
FLAME STOP V™ provides that added margin of safety - it gives people extra time to evacuate the scene of a fire, decreasing the risk of panic and injury.
Flame Stop V Putty™
With a consistency like play-dough, just roll the putty between your fingers for use in readily accessible penetrations.
For larger areas, the caulk can be trowelled with any application tool or can be dispensed with a mechanical or pneumatic application system.
Flame Stop V Caulk™
Caulking/Trowellable material contains no water or other evaporative elastomers; therefore it does not shrink, crack or slump.
It also maintains superior adhesion qualities.
Fire Protection Systems For:
- Electrical Cable Trays
- Structural Steel Columns
- Commercial Building
- Piping and Conduits (Plastic and Steel)
- Industrial Clean Rooms
- Critical Equipment
- Bus Bars
- Glass Piping
- Most forms of nuclear plant penetrations
- And many others.
Advantages
- Low installed cost
- Easy to Use
- Non-toxic
- Non-flammable
- No shrinkage
- No mixing or fixtures required
- No carcinogens or asbestos
- Immediate job inspection
- Guaranteed one year packaged life
- No special tools required
Installation
Remove loose dirt and other foreign matter from penetration surfaces.
Install damming material (any damming material may be used in the installation).
Place required amount of FLAME STOP V™ Putty or Trowellable material into penetration. (Depth requirements may be as little as 1/2" depending on the penetration).
FLAME STOP V™ should be painted after installation when exposed to rain or excess water.
Maintenance
A FLAME STOP V™ sealed penetration is maintenance-free as long as the seal is not compromised.
If additional penetrating items will be added after the firestop is in place,
simply cut away enough of the putty to allow entry and reseal with a new FLAME STOP V application.
Properties
Tested to ASTM E814, ASTM E119, IEEE 634 and UL 1479.
(Test data available upon request).
More competitive per volume installed than all other rated products.
Intumescent (expands when heated) to allow closure of melting plastic pipe or plastic coated wire during a fire.
