What you need...Loyola enterprises construction division has all the supplies you need to build the strongest homes resistant to hurricane force winds, flying debris, sound, fire, and even intruders. ICF or Insulated Concrete Forms are the back bone of the house. Simple foam blocks act as concrete forms which go up much faster than traditional 2x4 framing. These forms are reinforced with Rebar and window and door openings are capped with Vbuck. Vbuck is able to be put together in any custom shape and replaces the wood that usually frames openings. Insulated concrete forms combine close celled expanded polystyrene insulation with the terrific performance of concrete's thermal mass to give you 30-50% savings in your heating and air conditioning costs. The polystyrene can be cut away to run utilities. Vapor Barriers added to the outside basement walls create an air filled void between the earth and your concrete keeping water flowing into your drainage system instead of your basement. Tyvek® House Wrap keeps water out and allows water vapor to escape from above ground exterior walls. Tyvek® is lightweight yet strong; vapor-permeable, yet water-, chemical-, puncture-, tear- and abrasion-resistant. The Simpson ledger connector system is engineered to solve the challenges of mounting steel or wood ledgers on insulated concrete form (ICF) walls. Simpson ledger connector system is easy, quick and versatile to use. The perforations in the embedded leg of the ICFLC permit the concrete to flow around it anchoring the ICFLC securely within the concrete. The exposed flange provides a structural surface for mounting either a wood or a steel ledger. |
